First time I’ve ever done a play and it has gone into its own kind of competition, we’ll see if it gets accepted. Tag team writing is actually more fun than writing by myself for the most part. He came up with the original idea (the theme if you will) and I just riffed off it with my usual verbal jazz. We tried to out twist each other for endings and voila, a play.Dialogue is a beast when writing a play versus a story. Since I’m writing screen direction and stage setup too, I’m hearing the words “louder” in my head when its a play so I’m more careful or constrained, don’t know for sure yet.

If anyone wants to try that with me let me know. I’ve still got a ton of crazy ideas running around in my head, but need human motivation to push me along. I’d have never written an OP for here except Patrick asked me to, twice.Report
