When I was responsible for road-show technology demonstrations, rule one when something didn’t work was “check the physical layer”. In non-geek, a surprising number of times the problem was that someone had neglected to plug the power cord in properly, or connected the Ethernet and/or coax cables to an obviously wrong place.
In my youth, when cars were simpler (and even today on small engines), checking “fuel, air, spark” identified the problem in a majority of the cases.Report
