It would have been nice for those attacking the President to come up with the name of one female member of Congress who plays basketball. There are barely any women in congress under 40, and aside from the worst vice presidential candidate in American history (and I’m not talking about Ferraro) most female politicians are strivers who focused on academics and their political careers (I gathered this from reading their bios.) Kirsten Gillibrand was a good tennis player, no mention of basketball, but she’s 5’8 and only 42 years old, so I suppose it’s possible she could be a candidate.Report
