New Policy Blog
Okay, so funny story: a week or two ago I wrote this really overly-harsh review of a site, and then one of the writer’s at that site knocked me down a peg or two (very gently) and so – thoroughly convinced of the error of my ways – I backed down from my original critique. And then next thing you know I’m on some email back-and-forths with some people who run that site, and to make a long story short – I’ve got a new policy blog over at True/Slant.
I’m kicking things off there with health care reform, but I’ll branch out into education and urban development as well – and probably some other stuff that I’m interested in.
If you aren’t too sick of me, you can read the blog here. You can sign up to the RSS feed here. Of course I’d love to have regular commenters and readers from the League visit me there as well, though I obviously have no intention to stop posting here as well.
Thanks!
Happy to see you’re signed up and already have your first post up!Report

Finally! Someone who deserves the column space they are given!
Congrats!Report
Thanks, everybody! I’m pretty excited, truth be told. Please do visit me there as well – even though, yes, you have to go through the grueling process of creating an account.Report
Congrats.
An account??? There it goes, the Man is trying to get his hooks in us, threw an “account”Report
I got the account and it was 90 seconds of pure hell. Only for you E.D.
Hope you and Matt Taibbi live happily ever after.Report
Haha. Thanks!Report
I’m curious as to how this fits in with your blogging at The League? Do you perceive that there is no audience for that kind of stuff over here (you may be right)?Report
I think it’s complimentary, actually. I think there’s an audience here for that sort of stuff to be sure, but I also think that it’s nice to have multiple venues, cross-pollinate, etc. And besides, the kind folks at True/Slant are paying me, so…there are incentives involved!
In any case, I think I’m going to focus more on my other preferred topics around here and do more cut-and-dry policy stuff there and just see how it goes. Great question!Report
