Looks like George Will wants to leave Iraq, too. I’m not convinced we can achieve much of anything there or in Afghanistan. But this “break it you buy it” ethic keeps coming back to haunt me. I’m not sure we’re at a place where we can really say it’s time to pack things up and leave. I could be wrong.

I haven’t understood the commotion about Will. He turned against Iraq in 2006-07 or so. It isn’t really a surprise that he would turn against Afghanistan when support for it would help Obama, given that he had previously turned against Iraq when support would have bolstered Bush. He just your typical fair-weather war fan.Report
