  1. Jacobs allegedly pulled a Snowden

That’s precisely what I thought at that point in the show.

Love the Game of Thrones references. Can we have a bookclub for Game of Thrones Season 4 this year? (It starts April 6.)Report

    1. I’ve been thinking about that, but I don’t have HBO so I have to wait for the series to become otherwise available ’cause I don’t pirate stuff, and iTunes doesn’t carry it until it’s been out for a while.

I’m not concerned with timeliness on that because Martin’s writing so slow, so I’m not a good point man for GoT bookclub.

But I bet we’d get plenty of interest if someone else wants to run it…Report

      1. I’d be willing to run a Game of Thrones book club if others are interested (either for Season 4, or of Season 3 prefer that due to lack of access to the Season 4 episodes). If you’re interested, let me know in this thread.Report

I like the idea, but I feel like we should start at season 1 if we’re going to do a bookclub. I feel that a show with such a strong arc should be recapped from the start.Report

  2. I’d forgotten that Franklin went to Harvard. Maybe that’s subconsciously why I’ve always disliked him.

  3. Yep, filler, but as Davenyc said, fits into the story line and gives us new tidbids:

    1) the vorlons use living tech in their ships (and other places no doubt). The written communication betwen the ship and Kosh suggest that it can do more than just report on it’s status–ie give a report to Kosh about it’s interaction with Sheridan.
    2) the comments about the “ship singing” to maint. crews suggests the ship is telepathic or empathic.

I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned before, but anyone put together item number 2 with Kosh’s comments about singing from other episodes? I don’t recall which ones, but I think there was one about “music in the dark” in a future episode….Report
