Somnology!
This is the last recap we’re getting ready for, here. Issues #74 and #75.
Sadly, I’ll be “away” and won’t be able to tackle #74 like I would have wished to a mere two weeks ago… and so I’m going to need you guys to carry this weight for me and carry us across the final finish line.
Two more issues. The last two more issues. Exiles. The Tempest.
This is where I used to put the boilerplate about dibs… but there ain’t nothing more to dib upon.
Well, except for Babylon 5. I believe that Katherine (BIG UPS!) has dibbed Babylon Squared. We’ll need recappers for The Quality of Mercy and Chrysalis, eventually, but I won’t panic about those until next week.
Now, I suppose, I can use this last little bit of boilerplate:
(It’s very difficult to discuss this book (or the show!) without discussing the next one (or the one after that, or the one after that), if you want to discuss something with a major plot point: please rot13 it. That’s a simple encryption that will allow the folks who want to avoid spoilers to avoid them and allow the people who want to argue them to argue them.)
Sadly, there’s no one after that, after this. Kudos, all of us. We made it this far. Now we’ve just a hair farther. Then we can rest. Sleep. And dream.
I thought you were doing “The Quality of Mercy”?Report
I would have loved to recap that one.
Sadly, I will be a thousand miles from home. I rather expect to be useless. As such, I’d rather give the recap to someone else who thinks they might do a good job.Report
We’re not going to read Endless Nights?Report
I think there was some interest on that one from the Doc. I like it.
I just saw that the Sandman Omnibus editions came out. They look pretty nice. But I’m not buying it again! You hear me Gaiman?! You’d have to come to my house and read them to me when I go to to sleep!Report
I’d love to read Endless Nights.
And I’d volunteer to recap, but I have too much studying I need to do between now and the end of the month.Report
I’d love to tackle Death: The High Cost of Living, too.Report
I would be interested in a trek through Mike Carey’s Lucifer, but at 75 issues, that is another long commitment.
I am also amenable to discussing Endless Nights or the Death miniseries.Report
Oh, we totally can. Heck, we totally *SHOULD*.
I forgot about that.Report
(I’m about to get on a plane. I’m pretty sure we still need two recappers!)Report
