    1. A search of the documented vessel database show INTEMPERANCE as the last name associated with her ID, and me as the last owner. The sad conclusion is that she was scrapped, and that’s too bad. The insurnace company would have sold her for $1 (maybe even paid you to take her) and $5,000 and six weeks hard work would have made her better than she was before the lightning hit. I’m sure somewhere there was someone who would have jumped at the chance to own a fine sailing passage-maker for well under $10K. But markets aren’t perfect, especially for distressed or otherwise encumbered assets.Report
