The New York Times: Two Days Behind The League Of Ordinary Gentlemen
Briefly noted — the New York Times today went live with a five-essay “Room for Debate” regarding the future of the Republican Party. While I commend the Gray Lady for getting a diverse panel of well-known authors, I modestly propose that intellectually, you’d do just as well if not better with Monday night’s Leaguecast on the same issue. They cover the same ground we did, although not nearly as deeply.

No slight intended, Professor! Seemed to me that your post was about advantages the Democrats now hold, but on re-reading it, the converse of weaknesses from which the Republicans suffer is a good read too.
And you nailed it.Report
Well, there were Tod’s posts, too. But mostly I was just being cheeky because you gave me an opening.Report
James was sorta the inspiration behind the Leaguecast. I was going to write a post. Then I saw that he wrote a post with which there was a fair amount of overlap (in substance, if not in demeanor). So I started charting other possibilities.Report
I’m told I’m an inspirational kind of guy.Report
