Even though I am subscribed to new posts, I don’t get emails for all the new posts (I got an email for this post, but not for the Kobe Bryant post, or Climate Action, etc.).Report

I’d suggest a RSS reader (feedly is free and cross platform) if you want to do even less work than actually visiting the site, as it pools the various blogs you want to stay on top of. It misses the 10 second news post though, so maybe not a full solution.Report

  2. OW1: It’s only been 40 years of the GOP being completely irresponsible with the budget; maybe someday “economic conservatives” will figure it out.Report

    • JS in reply to Mike Schilling says:

The current budget deficit is, of course, Obama’s fault. You don’t think Trump could fix it in a mere 4 years?

When the next Democrat comes around, raises taxes, and the deficit starts to fall — that’ll be the current GOP tax cuts finally trickling in, boosting the economy. In fact, the deficit would have fallen faster if that tax-and-spend Democrat hadn’t soured economic growth by raising taxes.

GOP = fiscal conservative, facts be damned. Rising deficits will always and forever either be the fault of Democrats, and falling ones the solemn, sober-eyed work of the fiscal conservatives.

It’s been that way since Reagan, I see no reason it’ll change.Report

Ok, ok, its Vox, but guys, hear me out:

Democrats need to listen to Neil Gorsuch’s surprisingly good idea

Basically, Gorsuch is correct that National/Universal Injunctions are non-constitutional… and “we” want this because of the upcoming tsunami of new revolutionary laws “we’re” going to pass.

On the one hand, I think there’s merit to the idea that injunctions should be narrowly construed… on the other hand this is the perfect Part 1 to: “Democrats need to listen to Sekulo’s surprisingly good idea.”Report
