The Love Symposium: A call for submissions
Beginning this Friday, we will be hosting the latest Ordinary Times Symposium. The topic will be Love.
Consider this a call for submissions.
As with all OT Symposiums, writers are encouraged to go wherever the topic takes them. And with a topic like Love, that can be almost anywhere:
Romance, sexual attraction, or the cold and harsh realities of obligation that love tethers one to are all fair game. So too is sibling love, parental love, the love of a good book, the love of a God for his children or a Labrador for his owner. Love is, after all, a many splendored thing, but it can be just as magnificent in its cruelty as its tenderness. Love has inspired the most sublime poetry and music ever written. On the other hand, let’s be honest: it has also inspired the worst.
Where will Love take you?
Please send submissions to me at the email address below, or to any of the other editors. And if you know of someone you think we should reach out to for the symposium, please let us know either by email or in the comments section below.
Thanks.
