Saturday!
So the game “Redshirt” (singular) came out and… I think I’m hooked. It’s a social media satire game that just nails everything that made facebook fun in the first two or three days you were on it. The joys of having someone “like” something you said, the joys of getting new friend requests, and the butterflies of sending out friend requests of your own. It’s got some minor RPG elements as well (job stuff, doing stuff with friends between facebook updates, that sort of thing) and makes fun of the whole Redshirt thing insofar as away teams leave with 4 people and come back with 2 or 3… but it’s mostly the joys of being social.
I made Maribou play and she said “I’m pretty sure that this game isn’t for me” as she sent out tentative relationship feelers and then, when the relationship request dinged, she beamed and said “They went out with me!” right before saying “okay, enough of that” and turned it off.
So… what are you playing?
Hitman Absolution. I’ve gotten slightly bored with it, so my strategy has slowly morphed from “silent assassin sneaking past everyone” to “try to eliminate enemies slowly and silently, and if that fails, use the loud guns.”Report
Still playing Path of Exile, and I’m still enjoying it.Report
Not too much gaming this weekend. I picked up a Humble Bundle last week that included Scribblenauts Unlimited, and I have been having fun with that. Nothing beats pitting mythological creatures against one another, especially when modified with adjectives such as lazy, vegetarian, or cute.Report
