You know, I’m a sucker for counterintuitive conclusions about things that seemingly have nothing to do with each other. But I don’t think this one holds up to analysis.
This will come as no surprise to anyone that has seen this documentary on the culture of crime that accompany inner-city school kindergartens:

Since there are approximately a jillion possible confounds to that correlation I’d have to say you’re right to be sceptical.
For one thing, I’m betting the poltroon didn’t control for population in comparing areas with a kindergarten vs. those without.Report
