More conservative rap.
So young white conservatives are still making political rap videos. At least the production values on WOLVERINES’s “One Term President” are leagues beyond last year’s Young Con Anthem, which Michael E. Van Landingham described as “tired, uncreative, and dizzyingly repugnant.” I guess most of the viewers found this new one (below the fold) via WorldNetDaily or Wonkette or Atlantic Wire. Me? I found it because the guy who takes the birther verse — yes, there’s a birther verse — is a friend of mine that I haven’t seen in a while. I guess this is what he’s been up to.
I don’t endorse this sort of thing. Still, the bit about pies in the first verse is almost weird enough to justify this video’s existence. Almost.
I guess I’m posting it because I want you all to be aware that birther rap now exists. We live in a strange world.

Hmm. I’ve put the link in; I’ll try to figure out how I failed at posting a YouTube video on a blog. (Posting YouTube videos is the FOUNDATION OF BLOGGING. Shouldn’t this be enough to get me kicked out of blogs forever?)Report
So long as you never, ever admit you were wrong about anything, I think you’ll be OK.Report
Video’s in. All better! Or worse: actually having the video might make this post worse.Report

All of you who thought the right would never, ever move away from the /oh-so-tiresome/ rhetorical tropes of 9/11 were wrong, and here’s the proof.Report
Walking, talking, rapping self-irony realized. WOLVERINES mutha F@#&’as!!
Speaking of which, should we all go see the Red Dawn remake when it comes out? They filmed part of it down the street from where I work. As you can guess, the film is going to be as bad, if not Ronald Reagan help us, worse than this rap.Report
Okay, I found most of this amusing, but I think it’s time we call for a moratorium on the “Where’s my job?” line. If you’re a conservative, does it really make sense at all that you’re blaming the government for not fulfilling some purported responsibility to give you a job?Report
Oh, I just made the connection: the lead rapper is the “Hey, Uganda should be putting gays to death” guy! Mazel tov! But, what can you say? Public education made him dumb.Report
