As a pediatrician and primary care physician for four years, it astonished me how healthcare reform has so many people in a panic. There is of course plenty of room for debate, but so many of the “controversies” could be avoided if the average voter educated him or herself so as not to be distracted by what the administration rightly calls misinformation. I recently spoke at a town hall meeting hosted by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, and was saddened to see so many citizened duped by the organized propaganda machines that are driving much of the opposition.
