Saturday!
I picked up “Prison Architect” a couple of months ago back when I had a jonesing for one of those “Theme Hospital”/”Sim Amusement Park” games and, just a couple days back, I picked up “Papers, Please”. Yes, there is an essay a’brewin’ about them. Not appropriate for here, though. In more here-appropriate news, I’ve been playing Knights of the Old Republic and… golly. It’s wonderful. Why couldn’t the prequels been more like this?
So… what are you playing?
World of Tanks.
Didnt think much of the game, was bored and out of things to do, decided that it was worth a spin since its free.
5 thousand battles later, here i am…. crap.Report
I playing Rogue Legacy which is unusual, but in a very fun way.Report
Not playing exactly, but related… Tomorrow is the annual meeting for the Colorado Division of the US Fencing Association. At my usual Saturday morning fencing session, I was asked (out of the blue) if I was interested in volunteering to be the chairman for the upcoming year (the fencing year ends in August with either the Olympics or the World Championships). It’s one of those painful decisions: do I want to take on the headaches, like resolving arguments between the commercial clubs about who gets to host which tournaments, or do I want to risk having the sport I enjoy fall apart locally because no one is willing to do the routine work to keep things running?Report
Oh fencing is great. I was a fencer in college and high school. Foil and epee.Report
So why don’t you fence now? If I wind up as chair, one of the tasks that goes with the job is finding ways to draw more people in. I’m sure it’s easier to get people who used to fence back into the sport; if for no other reason, they’ve already been through the process of discovering, “Oh, this is harder than it looks!”Report
Molto cool fencing pictureReport
Cool picture, thanks! Knew at a glance that it had to be an epee bout (my weapon of choice) — it’s the only one of the three weapons whose rules are loose enough that a move like that has a chance of scoring a valid touch.Report
I am thinking about playing FTL again. Haven’t touched DCoE since last Wednesday.
The game’s pacing is overbearing. Give me some puzzles, FFS instead of run/sneak/FPS.
I’m waiting for Borderlands 2 GOTY’s release.Report
My last go-round with FTL, I decided to play with crew teleportation instead of focusing on trying to beat the game (because I’m apparently incompetent and can’t beat the fisher on easy). Turns out that teleportation is heaps of fun. I didn’t even care that I was a complete failure.Report
Anarchy Online.Report
Playing DDO. My artificer is almost level 4. It is a fun class. Unlimited enchanted crossbow bolts, and mechanical dog pet, and a rune arm that attacks as a free action. Tons of fun.
Still playing Borderlands 2 as well. My Siren is level 20, and my Gunzerker is 18. Still good, mindless fun blowing stuff up.Report
