    The diffraction spikes are just because the center star is grossly overexposed, right? Not going to be a problem with properly exposed images? I admit to wondering about spikes every time I saw a picture of the Webb and those three relatively huge struts holding the secondary.Report

    Huh, today I learned. I always thought the initial Hubble aberration was from the mirrors etc sitting around in 1g for longer than anyone expected due the mission delays that followed the Challenger disaster.
