Scenes from an Arizona snowfall
One reason I really do love this town: we just had thirty inches of snow dumped on us, and today it’s sunny and bright and the snow is melting. You can go outside in a t-shirt (though it’s not exactly t-shirt weather.) The sun is warm even if the day is brisk.
I took these yesterday walking and driving near my home, and then today from my office (the view of the mountain and the icicles.)
Hopefully this is the last of the snow. When you’re not breaking your back shoveling it, it really is quite pretty.
(All photos taken with my phone, which works better as a camera than a phone lately.)
Pretty!
I’m in Ottawa. Two weeks ago, there was at least a foot of snow on the ground. Today, the weather has got to be in the mid-20s (Celsius). Crazy weather these days.Report
It’s crazy weather here every year. The nice thing is that the crazy weather means crappy is always followed by nice…Report
That was how much of the northeast’s snow was this winter. In my area, none of the snow was still there more than a few days later, even the 18″ Halloween blizzard we got slammed by.Report
That’s great unless you want to ski or snowboard I suppose.Report
Yesterday morning, I emailed our landlords about getting our substantial sidewalk cleared. By the afternoon, most of the pavement-snow had completely melted. Ordinarily, I hate sunny days, but it proved very helpful yesterday.Report
