The Best Cover of All Time, Volume VIII
Aguirre nominates The Scissor Sisters’ disco-infused version of “Comfortably Numb”; via email, Barry passes along Radiohead’s cover of The Smiths’ “The Headmaster Ritual.” Radiohead is below the fold – keep those nominations coming!
Sam Beam’s cover of The Postal Service’s Such Great Heights
Jose Gonzalez’ cover of Massive Attack’s TeardropReport
Teardrop is acceptable. I’m exercising my editorial discretion with respect to “Such Great Heights,” mainly because that song drives me up the wall.Report
To such great heights on the wall?Report
I already nominated Teardrop in the original thread. (I was torn between that one and his version of the Knife’s “Heartbeats”, both of which I saw him play in DC last year at a show that’s really stuck with me…but the latter’s use in a Sony commercial mitigates against it.)Report
I prefer Elbow’s version
