Saturday!
Satoru Iwata passed this last week.
He was the guy who took Nintendo from being the game company perceived as being for kids (as opposed to the Playstation or Xbox which were perceived as being for adolescents) into being the game company for family game night and grandparents and bowling tournaments at the retirement home.
He was a visionary who changed the way we thought about playing games and made us get off of the couch. Well, for a year or so.
He was one of those people who helped make the world a better place, even if just for a little while, even if just with what we use to entertain ourselves from time to time. I had a lot of fun with Super Smash Brothers Melee.
Thank you, sir.
So… what are you playing?

“Dodge the rattlesnake” on the morning bicycle ride — twice! Both of them pretty large, in the 36-40 inch range, with lots of rattles.Report
