The Mario RPGs are really quite clever. I mean, going all the way back to Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, you’ve got a fairly straightforward story, interactions with the usual cast of characters (including an opportunity to play as Bowser), and fun combat. Even the worst of these titles beat mediocrity by a fur piece and the best have you laughing out loud as you play… so, with that said, I’m hip deep in Mario and Luigi: Dream Team and recommend it heartily to anyone who loves action RPGs with a bit of an old schooly flavor. (So much so that, while out and about, I picked up Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time from Gamestop.)

I only vaguely remembered this but I’m glad I did. It’s as weird as I remembered.

I don’t know if it counts as ‘playing’ but I made the switch from Squarespace to a WordPress.com site for my personal blog on Thursday. Trying to remember all of my CSS coding and exploring the thousands of templates available while I try to make it look presentable.Report

Oh, I thought it was the bomb, but I wanted a controller (note to self: invest in controller for computer). I found myself playing it one way… then saying “no, I’m going to make as much freakin’ money as possible!” for a while… the going back and playing it to see how far I can go again and seeing that I’m much more badass than I used to be but, again, nowhere near as badass as I need to be, then going back to making as much freakin’ money as I can…Report
