Devin Nunes Cow Plots Next Career Move.

With news that California Congressman Devin Nunes is now “retiring” one has to wonder what Devin Nunes Cow will now do for a living. Given that his twitter career to date has been an interesting mix of slamming Nunes for his own unflagging support of Trump, and retweeting the prescient observations of others about that support, one can see the Cow being a bit deflated that Nunes is hanging up his political hat.

Nunes is, for his part, sticking to the Party line that his move is all about becoming Trump World Fantasy Media Company (or whatever its called) CEO, but don’t believe it for a minute:

Under draft redistricting maps released in November, Nunes would have faced a tough reelection in the 2022 midterms because his district would have become much more Democratic. Nunes could have used his considerable campaign funds to mount a competitive run in a more favorable seat because members of Congress do not have to live in their districts.

See, when you gerrymander to lock up your District, and then the Census actually does its job and forces a realignment (as California binds themselves to do by law), you run the risk of eventually having to be competitive against other in your Party, as well as other Parties, who might get a shot to run against you.  And, to be successful, you have to have ideas that resonate with your electorate.

Devin Nunes has no such ideas, and neither does the Republican Party.  So even if his CEO-ship is short lived – which is might be if the SEC does it’s job properly – That’s still better apparently then being the Biggest Looser.

As for the Cow, I hope he continues to bring us gems like this.  Because we all need more bovine satire tearing apart the high and mighty.
