National Geographic reports that explorers in Vietnam have just uncovered the largest cave passage yet found. It has “room enough for an entire New York City block of 40 story buildings” and can fit a skyscraper. Picture after the jump:

This kind of find goes to show that despite the supersaturated media of world civilization, there are still a lot of amazing things in the world that we have yet to discover.Report
Yeah, I found it strangely reassuring that the locals knew about the cave but most explorers had passed within sight of it without realizing it was there. Also reassuring was their note that it cannot be seen on Google Earth.Report
