A Comment on Comments
Sometimes the comments on my articles are…cringe. Some people obviously read too fast. Some digress into a Reddit type thread of insults and ADHD. Then there are those threaded comments that are simply beautiful, intelligent, and nuanced, each person adding and showing a bit of a different angle, from their own lived/learned experiences.
Do we always agree? No, but that’s the beauty of this. Do we agree on key points? Typically I don’t think we are as far apart as it comes across. I do learn things from those different points of view that each commenter has as well.
Off the top of my head, Chip D, Oscar G, Dark M, Philip H, North, Michael C, and a few others, thanks for your input and thoughtful reflection. You guys make it worth it.

Agreed. I was just reading a very interesting and thoughtful Reason article and made the mistake of clicking on the comments and was immediately confronted with Holocaust-deniliasm AND justification among lots of other truly awful stuff. A good reminder of the difference in commentariats.Report

I’ve enjoyed reading your posts, as I do most of the posts and comments here. I can be a bit obtuse, so allow me to clarify a post I made on your presidential State of the Union speech-in case if came off in bad taste or something.. I took a long about way of stating that no one with political power or influence would allow you to actually implement said agenda. There is only so much boat rocking that’s tolerated by “those in charge”.Report
