Spring Forward
Fall Back
Also, change the batteries in your smoke detectors.
And one of the two lightbulbs in the kitchen is burned out. You should stop putting off changing the burned out one even though the other one still works.
We’ve talked about The Lego Movie before (short version: it’s awesome, you totes need to see it, you totes need to *BUY* it). Well, as you remember, there were 13 or 14 best parts of the movie and one of those 13 or 14 best parts was Lego Batman.
Well, he’s coming out with his own movie which appears to exist either independently to The Lego Movie or in an isolated sub-universe within The Lego Movie. Which means that we’re getting another kid-friendly episode of Robot Chicken that will make you be willing to stand in line for 20 minutes to get a decent seat in the 14th row surrounded by chattering kids and surly teenagers checking their text messages.
I can’t wait.
So… what are you reading and/or watching?

Dr. Strange was good. Not the best MCU property, but Cumberbatch did a respectable job. Overall the movie was about on par with Ant-Man. Nothing spectacular, but thoroughly enjoyable.
The one thing that I grimaced at is that Cumberbatch has very little comedic timing. Not sure if that is inherent in the actor, or if it was intentional on the part of the director (the movie kind of played with the idea that he was trying to be funny and it usually fell flat).Report
Hmm encouraging. Dr. Strange is my favorite Marvel character but I’ve always felt he translates very badly to TV and film. I had an honest terror that he would wreck the MCU’s run.Report
CB’s comic timing on last night’s SNL episode was solid, as was his commitment, but the writing was significantly sub-par.Report
The writing on Strange or SNL?Report
SNL; haven’t seen the movie.Report
I have been doing almost nothing in my free time but watching CW shows.
I did read an adorable kids’ book today, one of Diana Wynne Jones’ posthumous publications, entitled Earwig and the Witch. Pitchperfect DWJ until the ending – don’t think she meant for it to end there, think the actual ending may have been tacked on.
But still very worth my time. And the illustrations were glorious.Report
I slept in due to the clocks.
Didn’t change the batteries in the smoke detectors. Hell, there are 9 in the house. I’m sure one will work. Screw it.
Made brunch for the lady friend and got some couch time watching the game. Her dog is the biggest cock blocker in the world.Report
For me the problem is the living room light fixture. It has three light bulbs in it. One of them is burnt out. It’s an open question whether I’ll replace it before at least one, or maybe even both, of the others burn out. Fortunately, we have a couple of lamps to get us through.Report
The Robot Chicken guys (or, at least, Stoopid Buddy Studios) are now doing Transformers toy shorts.Report
