Hi, I’m New Around Here

The editors told me I’m supposed to introduce myself since I have been promoted to Staff Writer. Perhaps the best introduction to me is to follow my Twitter account – where I get on everyone’s nerves and generally cause trouble. Beyond that, you should know I worked for just over five years in Washington, D.C. at a government relations and lobbying firm. It was the first professional career of my life and I am grateful for inhabiting that world if only for the insight it gave me into how government really works.

These days I live in suburban Connecticut and work as a loan officer. Nothing glorious, but it does permit me the time to take on more personally fulfilling adventures – like writing for Ordinary Times.
