Thanks, Obama
Yesterday our flight was delayed for about an hour and a half. Then, once on the tarmac and runway, we were out there waiting for another hour. It was hot, it was uncomfortable. We eventually took off, flew, and landed. Throughout the entire time, my electronic devices were publicly and visibly on and I was allowed to pass the time watching my TV program, which made the whole thing a lot less unpleasant. Thanks, Obama.
Careful, i gets some peoples undies in knot to admit sometimes things get betterReport
Just because things aren’t as bad as they used to be means we shouldn’t complain?Report
How long would you have had to turn them off under the old rules? I thought it was just during takeoff and landing, not tarmac-sitting.Report
The old rules (haphazardly enforced) (as I understood them) were from cabin door closure to 10K ft.
Sometimes, during a delay, they would allow people to turn back on their devices, but as often as not (in my experience) they did not, because we ‘could be leaving at any moment’Report
