Saturday!
So I am figuring out that Pokeman has a lot of grinding. Sure, you want to level up this pokeman, but you’ve got another 41 of the dang things. So you stick around in the main area until everybody is level 10 or so.
Then you find the rare creature in the area and can’t catch it with your pokeball and you one hit kill it after that.
Fun.
Thank goodness for Batman: Arkham Origins. The biggest (non-philosophical, anyway) criticism I’ve seen of the game is that it assumes that you’ve played the other two and that you’re familiar with Batology. As someone who has played the other two and is familiar with Batology, I find the game downright refreshing.
So… what are you playing?
I’m playing “Daddy’s Home!” I’m not sure who wins more… me or the kid.Report
I finally bought Skyrim since the Legendary edition dropped down to $20 in the recent Steam sale. I keep getting slaughtered by wandering into situations that I’m woefully unprepared for. I’m so used to the smooth progression enforced by most modern games that I forgot that that used to be par for the course.
Also, going back to this combat system after Amalur just makes me sad.Report
I spent some time playing DDO. I have one character at level 10, which is midlevel, and I started playing through the Vault of Night adventure pack. A friend said it was really good, and he was right. There are a variety of adventures, including an arena fight, a journey into someone’s mind, and trying to rescue someone who is being pursued by an Inevitable. I have not finished the whole thing, but so far it has been challenging and exciting.
I also spent some time playing through the Attitude Era mode of WWE 13, and I finished up the Rise of Degeneration X storyline, with the exception of some bonus matches that I need to unlock. Considering I watched WCW with my dad at the time, I like getting caught up on the WWE stuff that I missed.Report
XCOM: Enemy Within. All my Meld misgivings went away the first time I deployed a MEC trooper and he used Kinetic Strike to one-shot a Muton, sending his body flying rag-doll fasion down the train platform. Now I chase Meld canisters like a dog chasing squirrels.Report
