NSFW!
One of our morning rituals when it comes to getting Lain out of bed is that we play some music videos. I have quite the rotation and it helps Lain transition into waking up, which is her least favorite time of the day. The problem is that as Lain gets older, I have to become more aware of what’s on these music videos. Here are three I am going to have to drop from the rotation at some point or another. Not Safe For Lain, and Not Safe For Work. None of the privy-privates are shown, but two are… sensual… and the third (which is mostly goofy but pretty awesome) required blurring.
The first you may be familiar with. It won a lot of awards and is the music video of a classic:
The next is the tale of a woman who done a man wrong, from the woman’s point of view:
Fair’s fair, and the last one is the tale of a man trying to get the attention of all of the women around him. The main reason I love this video is what starts happening after 2:50 or so:
The obvious addition is that Robin Thicke video, which I’ll decline to embed because one version has nudity, and the lyrics are a bit, well, rapey, and the whole vibe is just awful. But the tune is so damn catchy!
So instead I’ll embed the very clever parody of it by Weird Al. Although that’s not really NSFW at all.

@burt-likko
What I love about Word Crimes (apart from the obvious) is that it retains the best feature of Blurred Lines (the groove), and discards the things that made it awful (the lyrics and video).
On the Whole, Mandatory Fun was a great album for Weird Al.Report
Well, I’ve linked both of these DyE videos before and they are most definitely NSFW (no *actual* nudity, but dang close and some sexy/disturbing imagery), but both are actually really good videos, and I do recommend them.
Some classic cosmic/body horror, in anime form:
(Changed to link rather than embed, since the embed still was..something)

The audaciousness of the imagery/edits here is at times hilarious, and at times gorgeous:
This one goes beyond “audacious” and straight into “blatant” (and still sorta hilarious, due to its singleminded pursuit of the sophomoric):
A couple of videos from the Lips’ Embryonic just went full monty, but I won’t embed those here. If interested, one of them can be viewed at the following link:

Rage Against The Machine has some awesome stuff… until she starts recognizing phrases.Report
Rage Against TheMachine has some awesome stuff and then it gets more awesome when she starts recognizing phrases.Report
I’m guessing Madonna & Lenny Kravitz’s Justify My Love was never in your rotation.Report
Lenny’s latest is this one, which is very NSFW and NSFLain.

Kiddo calls this one “the vulva video.” NSFsomeW, but SFKiddo.

The Kids in the Hall took this on:
Also, for some pointedly NSFW lyrics, I give you Furnaceface (which I’ve probably posted before):

Also, I’ll read any post with an image of Robbie Williams.Report
I am almost certain that there was a different video of “Wicked Game” that I saw before the one that everyone loved. I think it was mostly a stylish black and white shot of Chris Isaak playing guitar and singing.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find it on my searches of Youtube. Sorry.
We certainly need more Robbie Williams.Report
