Everything I’ve written in the last 8 months on The League in a 1-hour interview.
Those of you not interested in my sailing posts will probably not find much of interest in the below embedded interview with the Sailing Podcast.
For those of you looking for a little encouragement to just go ahead and do it already (“it” being whatever it is you dream of doing) I think you’ll find a fair measure of encouragement.
Topics touched on include my family’s first cruise in our sloop S/V INTEMPERANCE, Thor Heyerdahl, regulatory regimes, American libertarianism, Phil Bolger, uncanny valleys, demographic trends, and other things familiar to anyone who’s been paying attention to my posts here on The League; but in this case you’ll get to hear me address my favorite themes in my own voice.
My interlocutor is Australia’s David Anderson. I hope you enjoy.
And for you iPod people, this episode of the Sailing Podcast is also available on iTunes.
This is so cool!Report
Looking good. I see from your twitter account that the motors showed up. Hope you have a nice launching ceremony.Report
It took Honda about four tries to get us all the pieces needed to install the engines. But finally it happened, and just now my wife and I are back from finishing the job.
In theory if the engines are hooked up to a live battery they’ll start. I took a few off INTEMPERANCE, freshly bought for last year’s season, but spend the Winter under the porch and they’re dead flat. I’ve got them soaking on a charger right now and when the rain stops I’ll give it a go!Report
