Pushups for Charity
This year I’ll be participating in Pushups for Charity, an annual fundraiser aimed at getting fit, having fun, and making a difference. To me, that last part is key. As an educator, everyday I have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children. But there are so many other ways my impact can be felt. With Pushups for Charity, the proceeds go to the Boot Campaign, a non-profit charity working to meet the needs of wounded military and their families. As a former military spouse whose wife treated injured soldiers at home and abroad, I know first hand the difficulties that our service men and women face after returning from the battlefield. Which is why I’ve chosen to participate in this event and support this worthy cause. The Boot Campaign’s efforts include assisting wounded veterans and their families with job placement, securing mortgage free homes, PTSD counseling, adaptive clothing, and much, much more.
I would love to have your support when I’m out there on May 25, Push Uping my little heart out for 90 seconds. If you are able to spare a few bucks, you can donate here.
Thanks!
