Israel's currents tariff's on American goods are somewhere in the range of 1% to 2%. Netanyahu promised tariffs of 0% on American imports if Trump would not impose tariffs on Israel. Trump said no and went on to impose the tariffs. Netanyahu's meeting with Trump was to flatter him out of the tariffs and Trump would not budge. This is extremely bad because Netanyahu is probably the foreign leader most likely to get Trump to budge on tariffs.

Leavett confirms that the White House is looking for ways to deport American citizens to El Salvador's gulag. This is extremely unconstitutional. It is well established that American citizens may not be punished by exile. Naturally, this isn't going to stop Trump from doing what he wants to do. That the Trump administration is announcing this flagrantly illegal policy openly should basically alert everybody with a half a brain cell to the danger we are in.

It is impossible to overstate how much of a big freaking disaster this is going to be for the American consumer. It just isn't fancy Iphones that come from China. A lot of basic medicines and medical goods come from China and a lot of clothing. Things are going to get more expensive and crappier.

The Bar Associations still control access to the courts through licensing and since most legislators have a lawyer background, that isn't going away. Plus the attempts at using AI in law have been an utter disaster, especially in the Court room but I'm guessing AI will make a muck of contracts, wills, and other legal documents as well.
