Illusion
You probably remember the OK Go video that fearless leader Tod posted a while back, the one for their song “This Too Shall Pass,” which featured an outrageous Rube Goldberg machine:
Now they have one with fun optical illusions, for their song “The Writing’s On the Wall”:
You know, I had to watch that a couple times before I even noticed the song, so if they’re making these videos to promote their music, rather than their other videos, I’m not sure how well it’s working, but they are fun, right?
(Hap tip to the teenager.)
they’re a fairly beige band, to put it kindly.Report
Honestly, if I heard the songs from these two videos out in the world, I’m not sure I would recognize them.Report
they are forgettable, which i suppose is a kind of praise these days.
puts me in mind of this great video and forgettable music;
but forgettable
justice’s entire catalog is rightly described as enjoyably forgettable.Report
They get a bit of airplay on the local alternative radio station here in town and, every time, the DJ talks about the importance of watching the video.
Something seems topsy-turvy.Report
Is this appropriate?:
(“All day, all night, all music videos”)
Seen your video
Your phony rock and roll
We don’t wanna know!Report
I remember hearing about how difficult it was for them to get a record label to understand them.Report
