Friday Jukebox

I am currently surrounded by innumerable and extraordinarily high stacks of case law printouts and briefs, looking forward to a weekend of the same.  But moments ago, my good friend Mr. Jimmy Cliff came to visit through the magic of Pandora, followed immediately by my secret friend Steve Perry.  That made everything better.  Hopefully, they will do the same for you all.

As an aside – I love Bob Marley. I love Peter Tosh. I love Toots & the Maytals. At various times in the last decade and a half, I’ve viewed each of them as the best roots reggae artist ever (though obviously Marley was at the top of the list for the longest). But as I’ve grown older, I’ve realized that, for all of their strengths, not a one of them can defeat the onslaught of beauty that is Jimmy Cliff’s voice.
