Thanks. The thing about writing for other people is they get to edit to their hearts content so I hear you, but even so pretty happy with that piece for the word limit I was working with.
I need to write that story sometime, we had a crowd show up for the pond draining for that very reason (not even sure the passage of time there, maybe 8-10 years) and alas no shoe
It boggles my mind in other places of the world there are families that can track back for unbelievable amounts of time. And saddens me that something like what the Jewish people have had to deal with for most of their existences to be robbed of that.
This is fair, and as one of those (barely) under-45 who wanted to see him get a chance he did not perform as well as I had hoped. To be fair he got shorted a bit compared to other guests hosts and sitting opposite the olympics, but still he took a few shows to get into the groove of it. Potential there, absolutley, but not the slam dunk online made it to be
Richards revealing himself answered the linger questions about how Ken Jennings general purpose jackassery was tolerated in the Jeopardy powers that be.
Merv Griffin reportedly made $70 million in royalties off the "Think!" Jeopardy song jingle alone - which he wrote as a lullaby for his kid of all things - over the years.
There is a reason we are featuring two pieces of writing about Jeopardy today and tomorrow. Going to openly admit it's been a struggle last few weeks keeping a balance. The Afghanistan one is the really tough one because not just the current doom scrolling but knowing what is coming next week you have to just be like "k, can't stop it, walk away for a bit." Also why I Tweet and write about food so much, its mostly for me, because to do what we do you have to intake so much news to keep the output up, I need that food and fun and just normal stuff to feel human again sometimes.
For your specific question, a secure airfield, preferably two, which proper preparation would have considered.
Biden the president isn't wholly responsible for the bad deal and arbitrary deadline (and Taliban wanted, BTW, a massive failure of the Trump admin to agree to leave in the prime o fighting season but I digress) he was handed when he got into office. Biden as commander in chief is not blameless in how this withdraw happened. If nobodies like me could read reports in mid-June how the Taliban already had taken half the country and publicly stated you had two months or less till they had the rest, they should have known and prepared better.
You've can't hide in a three-piece, especially over 50 years, and none of those three guys needed too because they were all great. And Billy knew exactly how to play around Dusty and Frank (who is criminally underrated as a drummer) to make them all look good. You can have all the hot licks you want as a player, but the masters know how to play together and make whole even better than the parts. ZZ Top did that exceptionally for a long, long time.
FWIW Amtrak services about 31 million passengers a year mostly in concentrated areas (2/3rd of that are in the top 10 metros) while US domestic airlines service over a billion passengers yearly nation wide.
