Wednesday Night Jukebox: Abraham Alexander – Déjà Vu
A couple years ago, my college radio station changed and the old frequency changed to CPR (Colorado Public Radio) and while I miss the whole “amateur hour” thing that the student DJs had going on, CPR’s music library is a bit more eclectic and plays stuff that the college radio hasn’t gotten around to yet. (If I was being honest, I’d say that the college station has morphed from being “interesting” to “comfortable”… it’s pretty much GenX radio now.)
In any case, while driving home from work today, I was listening to CPR and they played this song and I thought it was really good. So I wanted to share it with you.
I hope you like it too:
So… what are you listening to?
The college station still delivers. They played this one as I drove to Costco.

Heard this on the way home earlier and thought it was a cool approach to Spoonman by Soundgarden. Had me rocking out.

Holy crap. There are covers for the whole dang album.
Holy crap. There’s a cover for Fresh Tendrils.
HOLY CRAP THERE’S A COVER FOR HALF.
Half is actually my favorite song on the album. I understand that that’s divisive but… well, it is what it is.
I’m almost scared to listen.Report
Yea next time I go to my buddy’s house for darts and beers I’m going to suggest we give the whole thing a listen. Seems promising.Report
Oh, and there’s a new Sublime song as well.
It’s Bradley Nowell’s kid, Jakob… who is probably the one guy who can get away with picking up where Sublime left off.
The song doesn’t suck.
