  1. Books on murder where you live, huh? Well, the county I live in has a book about murders and prohibition in the ’20s. But that is non-fiction and I haven’t had a chance to pick it up yet. But, the town I grew up in, one of the gems of coastal California, has a series of cozy mysteries that take place in the environs, centering around quilting! But, this doesn’t match the town I remember, where I friend from high school was killed in a trailer park by another kid I grew up with, a man was gutted across a pool table in a biker bar, and a serial killer was found (Krebs).

But that is what happens when a sleepy little town is elevated to highly desirable town!

Anyhoo, speaking of pulp, I am rereading Chandlers High Window..Report

    1. Yeah I used the picture for the front page partly because it fit the dimensions, but also because he’s standing in front of a picture of Evelyn Dick, the “torso kilker”, who was probably the most notorious non-mob murderer to cone out of this city. Certainly the most glamorous anyway.Report
