Fish escaped pollution through evolution, it appears. Some ancient shellfish, however, couldn’t escape global warming.
Speaking of evolution, here’s a look at some theories on frog evolution.
How is these even a question? They’re cute.

I’m surprised it took two hours. Now we can move on to the sentencing phase. Sadly he’ll probable be on death row the rest of his life.Report
Well he’ll definitely be in prison the rest of his life. The question is how long that is, whether the state of South Carolina does anything to move up the timeline, and how many lawyers get paid while we wait.Report
I had forgotten until looking at it just now that the just completed trial is the federal one, the state can (I think) try him on straight up capital murder charges whenever the Fed process is complete, no matter how it shakes out.Report
Right. Oops. Thanks for the correction.Report
I thought that’s what you were saying with South Carolina ‘moving up the timeline’Report
And you thought correctly! I had assumed he was being tried in state court and never bothered to look it up.Report
I don’t mean this to be to snarky, even though we disagree on the death penalty. I was just a little amused by the phrasing of your complaint. And man, if we’re going to have a death penalty at all, Roof certainly seems like the sort of guy that ought to receive it.Report
