    1. In all fairness to Tim Wise… If your entire knowledge of Russian culture, literature, music, art, history, and philosophy came from watching episodes of 24 that featured Russian villains, I can actually see where you might reach this conclusion.Report

  2. The author of the anti-goose screed can only assert that Canada geese aren’t good to eat because he hasn’t eaten any.

    Also the photo editor seems to have missed the fact that it was an article about Canada geese when selecting the accompanying illustration.Report

    1. Well he’ll definitely be in prison the rest of his life. The question is how long that is, whether the state of South Carolina does anything to move up the timeline, and how many lawyers get paid while we wait.Report

      1. I had forgotten until looking at it just now that the just completed trial is the federal one, the state can (I think) try him on straight up capital murder charges whenever the Fed process is complete, no matter how it shakes out.Report

    2. I don’t mean this to be to snarky, even though we disagree on the death penalty. I was just a little amused by the phrasing of your complaint. And man, if we’re going to have a death penalty at all, Roof certainly seems like the sort of guy that ought to receive it.Report
