    Good news. Just checked Wikipedia and the civil war and Lee are still there. History has been erased yet. But keep checking you never know what we have forgotten.

    I say, celebrate emancipation. I love “broken chains” statues. Yes, emancipation was imperfect and the work of achieving equality isn’t done yet. But it’s a moment whose spirit was worth celebrating then, and remains worthy to celebrate today.Report
