Politics, Culture, Discourse…and College Basketball?
The NCAA Tournament kicks off later this week. 68 teams will be vying for the national championship. Will Duke finish off its heavenly season? Will Gonzaga finally win Mark Few the championship he so desperately craves? Will Virginia bounce back from last year’s shocking loss to UMBC? Can Michigan get back to the promised land? Will something called Gardner-Webb shock the world and win it all? (No, to that last one.)
The NCAA Tournament is arguably this nation’s biggest sporting weekend and its opening rounds on Thursday and Friday are the perfect excuse to “spend” the “day” working “at” your “desk” while actually “streaming” “all the” “games.”

*Bragging rights around here
I *may* actually watch NCAA this year. I look forward to making an imaginary bracket in my head and not telling any of you how much I am kicking your asses. (This was my approach to fantasy football as well, though that was substantially more complex.)Report

I have officially entered, using my time-honored strategy of leaning towards what I want to happen over what I think will happen. Laugh if you will, this strategy has proved comically wrong every year I have made a bracket.Report
@tod-kelly I like to think if I’m not scoffing at myself, I’m doing it wrong …Report
With Iowa’s win, I’m now in first place. ::breathes on fingers, wipes them on shirt::Report
1. This is very good news.
2. I no longer have access to the bracket, even though I seem to still be in it, so that’s fun. Thank you ESPN.Report
Wait! If I use an Incognito window, I can at least see our bracket!
