  1. I can second the recommendation for Ticket to Ride – we have monthly or so epic games of this, and even the now 8 year old makes a great railroad mogul.

If you want fabulous fables and quests, Cataan and all its expansion packs will keep the gift giving going for years. Its the only board game we play almost weekly, and it even has a quick dice version the boys will play after supper when they are bored.Report

  2. Walmart.com has the PS5 available for MSRP.

I prefer the disk version because it allows me to play my PS4 games.

But if you don’t care about that sort of thing, the Digital Edition is now available out there.

Edit: Link removed. I didn’t look at the shipping cost and it’s over $100. Jerks.Report

  3. I will add a hearty thumbs up to Jaybird’s recommendation of Comfort Colors t-shirts. I bought a bunch after his recommendation in a prior year list. They’re the perfect cool weather shirt for biking when all you need is your arms covered up.

If you’re looking for a book to give someone this season, I can’t recommend too highly Emily St. John Mandel’s Sea of Tranquility. Station Eleven put her on the map, but I’ve yet to spend more than a few days finishing any of her books. I hear The Glass Hotel is next up for a TV treatment and I can’t wait.Report
