Praying Drunk
Don’t want to interrupt the symposium, so I’m tossing this in Off the Cuff. Liz Anderson, who is still my favorite professor from undergrad, has a pretty awesome piece up at Bleeding Heart Libertarians about (broadly speaking) liberalism and markets. She was probably the first person who turned me on to the idea (which animates most of my politics) that libertarians and conservatives (the latter especially) appropriating free market rhetoric doesn’t make them “the real liberals”.
Anyway, check it out, if for no other reason than this line, which merely serves to confirm why I love Professor Anderson so dang much:
You can pray as fast as you want, even while drunk, but don’t try driving that way.
