I made the mistake, when I first moved to Louisville KY, of going to a White castle sober...could stand to eat there after that. Now I am mostly veggie so wouldn't eat there anyway.

Make exceptions for locally raised hormone/antibiotic free bee Tucker's Onion burgers mmmm get to pick your toppings cheese, mustard, pickles, lettuce, tomato (who needs ketchup) and most importantly roasted Jalapenos

Thanks! Its my Husbands hat and he has a pumpkin head so fits me that way which is funny. His youngest daughter has a pink bowler that I may take pictures in as well. Being the tomboy that I am I really don't do pink but who knows. this was taken with my cell phone he wants to take real pics (he is a photographer) so there will probably be more iterations to come.

Ok this post prompted me to finally take a picture (admittedly not a god one) that I have been meaning to get to use as an avatar especially for the LoOG. Whadaya think?

Zic thank you for this incredible comment. I too am broken and can't be as eloquent in speaking about it. Thanks for being a voice for me. And I totally agree with Shelley.

Mike Thank you for re-posting this to the front page.

My own experience and that of my twin sister, best friend and several other women I grew up with (none of whom officially reported the assaults on them) make me believe the 15-20% numbers are probably higher than we think. All of us are upper middle class with incredibly supportive family and social network and did not feel safe to tell what happened to us until much later in life. What about girls and women in less supportive and safe environments?

On “Hurricane Sandy Open Thread

Mike, tornadoes?? in Louisville really? Nothing like tornado alley out here in Oklahoma. I mean when the sirens go off out here we take notice. When I moved to Louisville the sirens went off and every one was oooh tornado lets go outside and look! Granted you do get some but not to the degree and size as we do.
