    1. Doubtful. The current incarnation is far too tilted in favor of the economic heavy hitters. Now that they aren’t using dubious lending to prop up the periphery anymore at some point those states/peoples are going to ask what the fish they’re getting out of the arrangement.

      Either the EU moves towards more consolidation with some kinds of formal financial transfers from the strong economic regions to the weaker ones or it’ll come apart. Either way it won’t remain in its present form.Report
