Vote Now! Who Are You Rooting For?
I wanted to run a poll to see where the Ordinary Times commentariat landed on the presidential campaign. Since I know that some people’s first preference has already dropped out, I thought I would ask one looking at the entire field, and the other looking at the remaining candidates. Also, I included Donald Trump as an option. I decided against including the other Republican candidates since there is not a genuine primary on that side.
In 2020, which of the candidates that ran for president (and appeared in at least one debate) would you most like to have seen won?
- Elizabeth Warren (20%, 10 Votes)
- Andrew Yang (14%, 7 Votes)
- Donald Trump (10%, 5 Votes)
- Cory Booker (8%, 4 Votes)
- Amy Klobuchar (8%, 4 Votes)
- Bernie Sanders (8%, 4 Votes)
- Kamala Harris (6%, 3 Votes)
- Pete Buttigieg (6%, 3 Votes)
- Joe Biden (6%, 3 Votes)
- John Delaney (4%, 2 Votes)
- Jay Inslee (4%, 2 Votes)
- Kirsten Gillibrand (2%, 1 Votes)
- Tulsi Gabbard (2%, 1 Votes)
- Steve Bullock (2%, 1 Votes)
- John Hickenlooper (0%, 0 Votes)
- Beto O'Rourke (0%, 0 Votes)
- Tim Ryan (0%, 0 Votes)
- Eric Swalwell (0%, 0 Votes)
- Michael Bennet (0%, 0 Votes)
- Bill DeBlasio (0%, 0 Votes)
- Julian Castro (0%, 0 Votes)
- Mike Bloomberg (0%, 0 Votes)
- Tom Steyer (0%, 0 Votes)
- Deval Patrick (0%, 0 Votes)
- Marianne Williamson (0%, 0 Votes)
Total Voters: 50
Of the remaining candidates, who are you rooting for?

- Bernie Sanders (15%, 7 Votes)
- Donald Trump (13%, 6 Votes)
- Amy Klobuchar (13%, 6 Votes)
- Pete Buttigieg (11%, 5 Votes)

What? No ranked choice voting? I am very disappoint.
Though, none of the above for me, but still.Report
well heck, if none of the above was an optionReport
Can I do a write-in vote for Justin Amash?Report
If only…Report
like many of the Senators who ran or are still running, I’d like to see him stay right where he is, a thorn in the side of House Republicans from the right. Its fun to watch.Report
I doubt if he survives the upcoming primary for his seat.rrReport
Needs more third party choices.
I am rooting for none of the listed, Arvin Vohra is whom I would prefer.Report
Yeah. (I’m going to vote Bernie in the Colorado primary on Super Tuesday and probably Vermin Supreme in the general (if he’s on the ballot… probably not going to write him in).)Report

Is there a reason Buttigieg was not included in the first list? I already voted for him in early voting in TX
If it was just an accidental oversight, count me in for Mayor Pete also in the first listReport
Poll creation was outsourced to the DesMoines Register…Report
Mayor Pete never got any respect heheReport
Oversight. He is on the list now (Unfortunately at the end. Nothing I can do on that.)Report
{{Oversight? Suuure. Who do you work for Will? }}Report
My dream ticket is Warren/Castro. *ducks*Report
Sanders has been saying some pretty good things about Castro.Report
Just not the right Castro.Report
Win it with Warren!!!!Report
Beat Trump with Biden.Report
I’m rooting for the American people to actually take voting seriously this time.
We need a poll option for that.Report
Do you mean in terms of their numbers or their selections?Report
I feel like I should give Beto one vote… as a sort of homage to Kristin’s GenX takedown.Report
Man, the shit really rose to the top on this one. Warren and Sanders in the top 2, followed by Trump and…well, Klobuchar might okay, I guess. Saul’s always saying she says “we can’t have nice things,” which is probably DeGravian for fiscal responsibility or something equally nice.
Seriously, though, what happened? This place used to be cool!
Where’s my Delaney buddy? Let’s go start our own blog, with hookers, blackjack, and fiscal sanity.Report
