If you’re going to be stuck in one seat for, more or less, 29 hours, you’re going to want an RPG with action elements and some action games with some RPG elements. For that, you’re probably going to want a real setup but, sadly, it’s still only 2016. The best you can do is a Super Nintendo that you can hold in the palm of your hand.
Luckily, the Nintendo 3DSe has the capability to emulate the old Super Nintendo. In addition to Super Metroid and Legend of Zelda Link To The Past, I also picked up Earthbound, an RPG that I missed entirely the first time around. (I’ll probably also download Super Mario World and get some perfect platforming in between naps.)
But, mostly, I’ll be wishing that I was home.
In any case, we’ve reached the point where we have miniaturized the old television plus box the size of a toaster into the palm of your hand and soon, surely, we’ll emulate the N64 in a handheld.
Which is good because they’ve also been working on miniaturizing the seats on the planes I’ve been flying in.
And, with that, I’d best start packing.
So… what are you playing?
