Shame we didn’t box China in with some sort of economic partnership of pacific nations in the Obama years. At least we didn’t do something really stupid like sit by while China and the pacific nations formed a trading group with us on the outside. Boy that would have been strategically dumb.
We should pushback against China but how to do it effectively is the hard part. It’s to late for the TPP and we do support Taiwan well. Not sure what the best course is but culture war drum beating won’t do squat.Report
