It was certainly a Wayne & Garth thing, but I’m pretty sure they got it from the generic Valley Girl thing a decade prior.
But yeah, this is like discovering a pre-Clovis arrowhead.Report
It’s popped up a couple of times in other Briggs comics so far, including a Danny Dreamer (“The gay life—not”). I looked into this the first time I noticed, and apparently it’s attested as early as the 1890s.Report
