  1. The Balloon Juice Fallacy! Who knew? Kuznicki Victimized! Film at 11! So-called “libertarian” reason.com dissed, delegitimized, stands in ruins!

Actually, since JasonK was spurred into action, John Cole’s tactic worked, sort of.

    And a bonus EDKain!

What’s not to like? Repubs scolded, Tea Party trashed. New issues piled upon the old.

Them Balloon Juice fellas ain’t as dumb as they sound. They know their Pavlov, and how to ring the dinner bell.

Ignore this last one [below], although it challenges all the “facts” as you think you might know them. I give JasonK master props for posting it. Jason Kuznicki is an honest man: this I have never doubted and have even testified to. Good on you, Jason. You got “Balloon Juiced,” is all.

  2. This is a test comment. I’m curious if people are commenting and their comments are being published, and the “Gifts of Gab” column is just not being updated, or if comments aren’t being published, or if people just haven’t commented all day since this morning, or what. (Jaybird’s 10:51 a.m. LoOG-Time entry is the last to be reflect in Gifts of Gab.)Report

  3. I’ve been working on three or four things behind the scenes, but I haven’t been happy with any of them. Also been very busy outside of blogging lately.Report

  4. It’s good that you guys have stuff in the pipeline because I’ve got about three things at least that I intended to post next week after classes and I was afraid the site would be like the Rufus Show for a week, which would surely be the final death of this place.Report

  5. Bleg: Can any liberwhateverians defend internet sales not being subject to state sales taxes? Huge hole in state budgets, and my choice between amazon.com and my local brick-and-mortar often comes down to saving the tax. [Not proud of that, but hey, times are tough and I’m only human.]

I can’t wrap my mind around this exemption, in principle or reality. And me, I’m a conservatwhateverian. Amazon seems to be exploiting a loophole in the law, and Adam Smith hisself would be disgusted that its competitive advantage comes via tax law and not totally by merit and efficiency.

Interstate commerce? If not this, what? and if not now, when?Report
