The Full Ginsburg: Trump Attorney John Lauro Edition
Trump Attorney John Lauro did the “full Ginsburg” rotation of all the Sunday talking head shows, and it was quite…something. Mostly, Lauro spent time trying to spin, defend, and excuse the latest charges in the 4-count indictment relating to January 6th.

The interesting thing about this case is that it doesn’t take anyone with legal expertise to understand it.
Everyone witnessed it happening in real time, and all its perpetrators have openly confessed to their intent, and so the lawyer’s only recourse is to weakly meep that a “technical violation of the Constitution isn’t a crime.”
There isn’t any way to predict what a jury will do, but as far as history is concerned, Trump’s attempted coup hasn’t been left unanswered.
It may be the final defense of the American republic, but its something.Report
